\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Hawai\u2018i Convention Center (Honolulu, Hawai\u2018i) hosted Plant Health 2025, the annual meeting of the American Phytopathological Society (APS), which brought together more than 1,000 professionals in the field of plant pathology.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tZamorano University took an active role in the event and, under the leadership of Dr. Carolina Avellaneda, Professor of Plant Pathology in the Department of Agricultural Science and Production, organized for the first time the Zamorano University Networking session.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis gathering brought together around 15 alumni connected with U.S. universities, including graduate students, faculty, and distinguished Zamorano graduates.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Entre las participaciones m\u00e1s relevantes se destac\u00f3 la del Dr. Luis del R\u00edo Mendoza (Clase 1979), fitopat\u00f3logo en canola en North Dakota State University, y la del Dr. Christian Cruz (Clase 2000), Profesor Asociado en Purdue University, galardonado con el International Service Award por sus contribuciones a la mejora de cultivos en diferentes pa\u00edses.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u201cIt was wonderful to see the participation of Zamorano University at Plant Health 2025 in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a strong showing. Most importantly, they also participated in the University Alumni Networking social at Plant Health 2025 by hosting a table. This event typically included all US based universities with a large plant pathology program. In my experience, Zamorano University might have been the first foreign university to participate in the alumni socials. This event is important to our members because it allows networking with faculty and students we studied with. As a Past President of APS, I was delighted to see Zamorano University participate with a large body of students and scholars.\u201d\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
