Drawing on a feminist and materialist sociology perspective, the study examines how horticultural production drives economic, social, and political empowerment among rural women, strengthening their leadership and their contributions to the sustainability of local food systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ca8b1ca e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"ca8b1ca\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4c8f78d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4c8f78d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Fieldwork was conducted in the department of Intibuc\u00e1, Honduras, while the analysis and writing were carried out at Zamorano University, underscoring the institution\u2019s ongoing commitment to applied research and to transforming agri-food systems across Latin America.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4457444 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"4457444\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-51d0cf2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"51d0cf2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Through this publication, Zamorano reaffirms its role as a regional academic leader in rural development, gender studies, and sustainable agriculture, providing valuable evidence on the realities and contributions of women producers in rural and Indigenous contexts.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zamorano University continues to contribute to global knowledge on rural development and gender equity.
