Zamorano University celebrated the graduation of the LXXX Cohort, Horus Class of 2025, in a solemn ceremony that brought together academic authorities, members of the Board of Trustees, representatives of embassies and government, partner organizations, special guests, and hundreds of parents and family members who accompanied the new professionals on this important milestone.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This year, 280 undergraduate students received their degrees in the four academic programs that define Zamorano\u2019s educational model: Agronomy Engineering, Environment and Development Engineering, Agribusiness Management Engineering, and Food Science and Technology Engineering.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

They were joined by the graduates of the postgraduate programs developed in partnership with EAFIT University (Colombia): 14 graduates of the Master\u2019s in Coffee Production and Business, belonging to its first cohort, and 6 graduates of the Master\u2019s in Agribusiness, corresponding to its fourth cohort. These postgraduate graduates represented six countries: Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, and Nicaragua.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Horus Class of 2025 stood out for its diversity and pan-American spirit, with students representing 17 countries: Bolivia, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador, Panama, Mexico, Spain, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, the United States, Belize, Costa Rica, Peru, Haiti, Japan, and Colombia. This multicultural presence reaffirms Zamorano University\u2019s international character and its mission to develop leaders with regional and global impact.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During the ceremony, department directors presented the diplomas to the graduates, accompanied by faculty members and university authorities. The program included special remarks from student representatives, Interim President Keith Andrews, keynote speaker Danilo Carrera, and Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees, Richard Voswinckel.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The ceremony also highlighted academic achievement through the presentation of the Academic Excellence Awards and the Learning by Doing Awards, a hallmark of the Zamorano model in which students dedicate nearly 50% of their time to practical training and applied learning.\nThe Learning by Doing Awards were presented to:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 First place: Diana Lisuanny Guerrero Rodr\u00edguez (Dominican Republic), Environment and Development Engineering \u2014 97.09%<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Second place: Heyssel Mariel Molinares Sosa (Honduras), Environment and Development Engineering \u2014 97.0%<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Third place: Fermel Abd\u00edas Quir\u00e1n Si\u00e1n (Guatemala), Food Science and Technology Engineering \u2014 97.0%<\/p>\n

The best academic performance by program was awarded to:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Food Science and Technology Engineering: Pablo Jos\u00e9 Rosales Higueros (Guatemala) \u2014 94.03%<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Agronomy Engineering: Elba Rebeca Gonz\u00e1lez Tobar (El Salvador) \u2014 93.21%<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Agribusiness Management Engineering: Roger Alexander Cowo (Belize) \u2014 92.32%<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Zamorano\u2019s highest academic distinction was awarded to Heyssel Mariel Molinares Sosa, recognized as the Best Student of the Horus Class of 2025 for achieving the highest overall average among the four undergraduate programs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Additionally, the Zamorano Citizenship Award \u201cMar\u00eda Carla Rivera Tejada\u201d was presented to Josu\u00e9 Gildemeister Franco (Peru), a student of Agronomy Engineering, in recognition of exemplary citizenship and positive contribution to the class community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
