Zamorano University welcomed Mr. Christian Robin, Director of the Swiss Sustainable Coffee and Cocoa Platforms, as part of an institutional agenda focused on identifying new avenues for collaboration and partnership with Swisscontact.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Christian Robin is a senior expert in international economic cooperation, sustainable trade, and multi-stakeholder platform development, based in Bern, Switzerland. He currently serves as Managing Director of the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform and the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa, where he leads strategic coordination among the public sector, private sector, civil society, and international organizations to advance more sustainable coffee and cocoa value chains. He has more than 20 years of experience in economic cooperation programs, trade promotion, and voluntary sustainability standards, with extensive work across Africa and Latin America.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During his visit to campus, Mr. Robin participated in an academic and technical agenda that included meetings and tours of key strategic areas at Zamorano University, such as the Coffee Laboratory, the Biological Control Laboratory, and the Department of Environment and Development. He gained first-hand insight into initiatives related to watershed management, water resources, and sustainable agricultural production. He also met with university leadership and faculty members, strengthening dialogue around potential areas of collaboration in sustainability, applied research, and capacity building.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
