Escuela Agr\u00edcola Panamericana (EAP) Zamorano and Netafim, a world leader in drip irrigation\nand micro-irrigation solutions, signed a collaboration agreement today to strengthen sustainable agricultural development. This agreement highlights the commitment of both institutions to innovation and the training of future professionals in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sergio Rodr\u00edguez Royo, Rector of the Escuela Agr\u00edcola Panamericana, and Carlos Vendrell\nAlmir, Director for Central America and the Caribbean of Netafim, signed this framework\ncooperation agreement at the Orbia\/Netafim headquarters in Mexico. Susana Margolin Rodr\u00edguez, Orbia\/Netafim's Global Head of Social Impact, acted as witness of honor at this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the framework of this strategic alliance, Zamorano and Netafim will work jointly in the
following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Netafim will provide technical assistance and advanced equipment to optimize the irrigation systems at the Zamorano Coffee Center, improving efficiency and productivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Technical support for the Zamorano Everlasting Education (ZEED) continuing education program, focusing on capacity building of producers through precision agriculture and training of Netafim\/Orbia collaborators through ad hoc courses designed specifically for their needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Netafim and Zamorano will work on projects that connect academia with industry, promoting the transfer of knowledge and innovative technologies to society.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Programs and activities will be implemented to identify and develop the talent of students with an interest in sustainable agriculture and advanced irrigation technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Zamorano students will have the opportunity of internships and professional practices at Netafim, acquiring practical experience and applied knowledge in the field of irrigation and precision agriculture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Joint research to promote sustainable agricultural practices, focusing on water use efficiency and optimization of natural resources.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This agreement represents a significant step towards the modernization of agriculture in the region and underscores the importance of collaboration between academia and industry to address the challenges facing the agricultural sector.
