From August 10 to 16, 2024, Zamorano carried out a significant tour in Ecuador, with the purpose of strengthening academic and research relations with key institutions in the country.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

San Antonio de Oriente, FM, Honduras - August 19, 2024.<\/strong>
During this visit, led by President Sergio Rodr\u00edguez Royo and accompanied by university executives,\ncrucial issues for academic development, international cooperation and Zamorano's financial sustainability were addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tour included high-level meetings with important governmental, academic and business actors in Ecuador. Some of the meetings included those with the Ministers of Economy and Finance and Agriculture and Livestock, Juan Carlos Vega Malo and Daniel Palacios, respectively, both Zamorano alumni; the President of BanEcuador, Francisco Mi\u00f1o; and Pronaca executives, among others. The purpose of these meetings was to explore opportunities for collaboration in educational and scientific projects, as well as to promote technological and knowledge exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meetings were also held with representatives of the Association of Banana Exporters (AEBE) and the National Association of Cocoa Exporters (ANECACAO) to discuss possibilities for collaboration in research and continuing education. Contacts were also established with executives from leading companies such as the Noboa Group and Holding Favorita, with whom options for scholarships and joint research projects were explored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The roadshow concluded with meetings with Zamorano alumni in Ecuador in Quito and Guayaquil, who shared their experiences and discussed ways to contribute to the development of their alma mater. This event not only strengthened existing ties, but also opened new doors for future collaborations that will benefit both Zamorano and the Ecuadorian institutions involved.

With this successful initiative, Zamorano reaffirms its commitment to academic and scientific development in the region, consolidating its position as a reference in agricultural and environmental education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
