Zamorano and Yield Lab sign agreement to promote innovation in Agtech and Foodtech in Central America

Zamorano has signed a strategic agreement with Yield Lab, a leading venture capital firm in the Agri Food Tech sector with presence in Latin America. This agreement aims to promote the development of startups and innovative projects in the agricultural and food sector, thus benefiting the ecosystem in Honduras and Central America.

The signing of the agreement, which took place on the Zamorano campus, was attended by Dr. Ana Maier, Vice President and Academic Dean of Zamorano, and Dr. Teresita Di Marco, Director of Yield Lab and member of “The Yield Lab Institute” team. Both leaders are committed to collaborate in a series of activities that include:

  • Co-acceleration and support of startups in Agtech and Foodtech topics.
  • Development of projects to articulate and enhance the agri-food ecosystem in Honduras and Central America.
  • Co-development of innovation and entrepreneurship events in Agtech and Foodtech to promote these industries in the region.
  • Exchange of know-how between Zamorano and Yield Lab, strengthening learning and knowledge transfer.
  • Participation in ecosystem missions with the support of other regional actors to promote this alliance.


This agreement represents a significant step towards innovation and sustainable development in the agri-food sector, in line with the current needs of the region and the commitment of Zamorano and Yield Lab to transform the agricultural landscape.
